Above the waterline, Bertram’s new styling delivers a shape that was designed to work. Functional bridge layouts and console arrangements, combined with improved sightlines, are key requisites for each new model 36 - 80 feet. Three of boating’s biggest names are responsible: Bertram, Zuccon International and Ferretti, whose engineers have combined forces to increase both interior and cockpit space aboard Bertram yachts.

In 1999, the designers of Zuccon International, a company that has endured a close relationship with Ferretti for many years, introduced a Bertram model that paid homage to the classic Bertram design, but introduced a stylish new look to the yacht. The fresh and contemporary look retained all the features that Bertram owners never wanted changed, and yet incorporated luxury amenities not usually found in boats of the same class. The result is a new generation of Bertrams that make effective use of every inch of space. This modern, hybrid version of a sport-fisherman also delivers all of the opulent and comfort features of a luxury cruiser by incorporating key elements in design functionality like never before, such as introducing a retractable aft/galley window, which recedes down for easier pass through access between the galley and the cockpit on the new 540 model, or full beam master suite that features wrap around windows, which provide breathtaking sweeping views of the surrounding ocean. Zuccon International continues to introduce innovative elements to Bertram design, thereby creating new classics in the world of sport-fishing.
