As Bertram’s parent company since 1998, Ferretti gives us both unprecedented financial resources and the technical expertise 100 engineers in their Advanced Yacht Technologies (AYT) division and their strategic design partner Zuccon International Project—along with the worldwide presence of 2,800 employees in 95 countries. AYT is primarily focused on project development, expansive research and on the development and improvements of structural design.

AYT is also responsible for building very valuable co-designing partnerships with leading suppliers that are essential in advancements of technologies. Technologies which later become available in the manufacturing processes, such as development with new engine controls, on board entertainment and communication aboard the vessels, advanced window design, and other innovative solutions such Ferretti Group’s exclusive partnership with Mitsubishi to provide the Anti-Rolling Gyro technology that reduces 52% of rolling amplitude on our vessels.

AYT provides us with such leading-edge design tools as computational fluid dynamics and 3D computer modeling and state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities like an advanced five-axis milling machine. Working with Zuccon, Bertram engineers have introduced more functional bridge layouts, better utilization of space to yield more living and storage room and a host of other improvements.
